Strasbourg, France

Strasbourg is the capital city of the Grand Est region, formerly Alsace, in northeastern France. It's also the formal seat of the European Parliament and sits near the German border, with culture and architecture blending German and French influences. Its Gothic Cathédrale Notre-Dame features daily shows from its astronomical clock and sweeping views of the Rhine River from partway up its 142m spire.

Day 4 of 8

Not so early day!! Since Strasbourg is not so far from my hotel.

It’s a different city, another hotel but same requirement. Another corona self-test (it’s better safe than sorry 😆)

I hop the train at 10:00 and in 30mins. I arrived at Strasbourg station.

After 15mins walk from the main train station you will arrive in the city center and to the famous Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg.

Inside the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg

From the city center i start to walk again to visit the Grande Île (Grand/Large Island).

It was named a UNESCOWorld Heritage Site in 1988. At the time, the International Council on Monuments and Sites noted that Grande Île is "an old quarter that exemplifies medieval cities.

So I expect this part of the area of the city was so busy with tourist. So I arrived during lunch time, it was busy but not so busy, since it’s still on corona travel restriction.

Lunch Time!!!

So many restaurant to choose from and i end it up eating Paëlla & drink a Möjito on one of the Spanish Restaurant called Ôla Tapas. Good food and a very nice/friendly staff. Highly recommended.

A Lot more to explore!!!

Quartier Bourse

Time Flies…

The moment i look at my watch, it’s already time for dinner…

I decide to go for a Vietnamese Cuisine (i order yellow curry) with rice.

Everytime I go France or Belgium supermarket, I always look for this potato chips 😆.. it’s very good.

My sister introduce to me 2yrs. ago and it’s taste very good (it’s addicting actually)

Time to head back and leave the city. Travelling back, I choose the longer ride.

I took a tram heading to Kehl (picture is the Kehl Rathaus) then take a bus for an hour ride. It’s a very nice weather and i want to take quiet time and read a book during the ride.

It was a Fun & Enjoy day in Strasbourg, France
